Take USCAD Classes for General Interest
Want to take art classes without being enrolled in the USCAD certificate program?
USCAD is designed to be as flexible as possible. You can test drive a class before you commit and apply for USCAD credit before the class is over. Evaluation and admission requirements need to be met to get credit for the course you are taking.
- General Interest students will not receive grades for coursework and their work is not applied toward the certificate. However, if at some point you want to transfer from General Interest to the USCAD Certificate program, you can.
- If you’ve taken several courses then decide you want to transfer, providing transfer occurs within six months of course completion, you can apply to USCAD and submit a fee to have your coursework evaluated. Course Evaluation Fees are $70/course. The USCAD application for admission fee is $50.
- After six months since you've taken a course, you may still transfer but you will need to go through the Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) process >> learn more
