Teaching & Training Certification
- Special Education Certificate (SPEC): Post Degree Certificate • Online Delivery • This certificate is recognized by Saskatchewan Education as meeting Special Education teacher qualification requirements and has been approved as an Additional Qualification Certificate that enables K to Grade 12 teachers to upgrade their classification and move up the salary grid.
- Master of Education: In collaboration with the College of Education and College of Graduate Studies and Research, this degree focuses on Educational Administration. These programs are offered at a number of off-campus sites throughout the province and are usually arranged through special contracts with school divisions, regional colleges, First Nations, etc.
- Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (CERTESL): Distance Delivery • Certification to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in Canada and abroad. This program was designed by award-winning distance specialists and will help you teach immigrant, overseas, Aboriginal and other learners of English as a second language. If you are currently a teacher in the K to Grade 12 system, some distance courses in TESL can be used to supplement your BEd and move you towards Class 5 on the STF salary grid.
- Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE): Distance Delivery with supplemental face-to-face workshops • Provides you with skills and qualifications to work as an adult educator in public and private sectors. This program benefits anyone who teaches/trains adults, coordinates/facilitates training programs, provides adminstrative/support services in the field and designs/develops educational materials for adults.
- Adult & Continuing Education workshops and short courses are offered on-campus throughout the year. These professional development offerings can also be used toward elective credit in the Certificate in Adult & Continuing Education (CACE) program.
- Destination Coach & Coaching Certification: Develop your own coaching style as you explore new ways of leading others. Principles learned can be incorporated into your day-to-day teaching, coaching and mentoring.
- In-school environmental workshops for teachers and their K to 8 students are offered throughout the year.
