Ecology Programs for Kids

A fun, hands-on learning experience for kids. 

• Ecology Camps for Kids: for ages 8 to 12 (plus one junior leader per camp  from age 13 to 17)
  • Offered every summer and during February and Easter breaks
  • Weeklong, full-day camps where children participate in field trips and nature study in and around Saskatoon
  • Kids meet with University scientists and learn about rocks, fossils, plants, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals with a focus on Saskatchewan’s endangered species  >> learn more

• In-school environmental workshops for teachers and their K to 8 students are offered throughout the year  >> learn more

• Guided Wetland and Grassland Field Trips are available for teachers and their students. Free guided field trips for grade 4 to 6 are sponsored by Ducks Unlimited Canada and Sask Power >> learn more
